Symptoms of a heart attack
| Chest pain – usually in the centre of the chest which can feel like pressure, tightness or being squeezed | Pain travelling from your chest to your arms, jaw, neck, back, shoulders and abdomen |
| Shortness of breath | Nausea |
| Vomiting | Anxiety (panic attack) |
| Lightheaded or dizziness | Cold sweat |
The discomfort or pain of a heart attack is similar to Angina, though it is often more severe and longer lasting. If you are experiencing Angina, the symptoms are usually not relieved by a nitrate tablet or spray.
Symptoms of Angina
| Pain | The feeling of being squeezed |
| Discomfort | Pain may feel like indigestion |
| Radiating pain to the neck, jaw, and left arm, or both arms | Pain in shoulders and neck |
| Pressure | Breathlessness and sweating |
| Nausea | Fatigue |
| Dizziness |
